i recently ran accross a bobcat 2 .i was wandering if anyone had any experience with these.in air tests it doesnt seem all that deep so i was wandering if someone could maybe scan a coin and tell me their results.i just want to know if mine is within specs and i can find no info on the net.it seems to be a very solid detector and is in very good condition.also is it hipmount only or can you pole mount it....thank you daniel

They were never really a deep detector. I bought a Lynx and Bobcat when they first came out, thought they would make a nice competition hunt detectors.
Wasn't too impressed with the depth at all, if I remember right air tests were also not good. Good for shallow coin hunting. Sold both after a few weeks
of hunting with them. The Bobcat is a great collectible.
