C$ freezing up!!!

Hawkeye Jim

New member
Anyone had this problem - on about four different occasions now, my C$ has frozen up on me - will be working fine, and all of a sudden I notice the ID numbers are not changing and when you press any of the keypads, no response. I have to shut down the C$, restart and then it's back to normal. (About like you PC, when it freezes up). Anyone else had this problem??? Thanks, Hawkeye Jim.

I do remember this happening to me a couple times. I just did what you did & shut it off & then it worked fine. Like you said, the C$ being all digital probably IS like a computer pretty much. One time I think it happened on a very hot day which maybe had something to do with it? I can't recall it happening for me in a long time.....
I would say keep an eye on it......don't send it in yet. But, if it continues to happen, or happens more often it may need a trip to the Lab........

Mine did that a couple times, i switched battery brands and it quit, dunno if that had anything to do with it, but it has worked flawlessly ever since, might have been where i was detecting, the place has several transformers on poles scattered around, seemed like it always happened near that area, good luck:):detecting::fisher::fisher::fisher::usmc::usaflag:

Bill & Bugar - Thanks for the replys - will keep an eye on this problem for the time being, hopefully it will not get worse. HH - Hawkeye Jim.
