I haven't visited the fisher forums for awhile but there used to be a C$ forum. I can't find it so I am posting here.
I was having trouble learning the C$ so kept going to my minelab elite. Since I had a long weekend I decided to spend some quality time with the C$ and play with the settings. After 2 days experimenting I went to a site I had luck with hunting with the minelab. (A 1901 barber dime)
I had my best coinshoot day ever. There is a lot of iron so I notched out everything and just looked for silver. Found another 1901 dime. The C$ was pretty stable with the settings I had so I decided to accept zink which will find the bronze IH's. Yep, found 2 of them. Also a merc dime.
I rarely find more than one good coin in a day so I was impressed. The C$ was able to find coins close to the iron.
Here's a pic of them with some other stuff. The locket still has the glass that covered the picture and it opens. Not sure what the round thing is. The site seems too new to have musket balls. But maybe someone had an old gun. Wish the silver ring was in better shape. They don't make them like that now.
The IH's are not in great shape either but they usually aren't. A 1902 and 04.
