C$ and CZ70 pro

Got the coinstrike and took it out today found a few cool finds but it seems you have to dig a lot more to find coins then you do with the 70 pro. On the 70 pro most coins are high tone even nickels and the 70 loves nickels. The relic is for older coins and trash does show up in that mood.
I find the coinstrike an interesting machine but not sure if it beats the 70. They say it does well in trash but put a 5 inch coil on the 70 pro and it does a great job in trash.
I have read that the C$ does a very good job at targets that are being masked and I am not sure how the 70 does with unmasking targets.
Can you put iron and a coin together on the 70 and it will pick up the iron. I have read that the C$ will see coin and give you tone for the coin.
Just interested in what you all think.

Both have their strengths..CZ is deeper and a CS works better in trash. Many do well with either , but I prefer a CZ while many others do well with a CS.As far as tests go tough to imitate coins and junk that have been in the ground for years. In addendum just might make a good combo...Secret is to learn your units well and use it under proper conditions as both are excellent units.

but the CZ70 will not, it will either bounce between the two or read the nail. CZ's love an iron balanced diet. BUT, with that being said, the CZ70 in my opinion only, is one of the best machines ever made and I wouldn't be without one. But I do really like the C$. Its an easy machine to hate & a hard one to love, kind of like a red headed step child ( no offense intended to people of red haired persuasion ).
I agree with Dan, both the C$ & CZ with do amazing things in the hands of people who really know their machines.

Mike

I have tried the nail on top of coin test.My CZ 70 gave a solid coin reading going left to right over coin/nail but not long way of the nail on the coin/nail .I tried this to test my ML Elite and found I was not able to get a coin sound or coin reading on the meter no matter what I tried.I also have a Quarter that I buried last fall out back about 8" - 9"deep,I have found that I can get a great coin reading with the 8" and the 10.5 with the CZ and a poor reading with the 5" (on the cz) and can't get a reading (not even a poor one) with the 8" or the s12 on the Elite.

Mike I have proven that time and again in the field with the C$. If there is a non ferrous target in the iron the C$ will give you an indication.
Just today I got a jumpy 27-30 reading in iron and of all things the target was a 22 short casing! The C$ new there was something non ferrous in with the iron and it let me know! I had to use all metal to check the dirt pile and there were 2 pieces of iron and more in the ground in the ground near the dig hole. After putting the dirt and plug back I reswept and it was almost solid iron tones for over a foot in every direction. I know it doesn't work for everyone but the C$ never ceases to amaze me with what it can find.

The CZ-70 and the Coinstrike are really 2 different units, and operate as such. If you try to operate the Coinstrike like you do the CZ-70, you surely will be disappointed.
Your finding of the great amount of trash with the Coinstrike, it could be because your sweeping the coil of the Coinstrike about the same speed you do when using the CZ-70. I would say the Coinstrike likes a sweep speed about 4 times as fast as any CZ.
Depth wise I can not get any of the CZ

it has a quick response & recovery. The CZ70 has a slower response & recovery and likes a much slower sweep speed. When I'm huntin for deep silver with the CZ70, I will drop the coil to the ground and very slowly sweep back and forth to get maximum depth, which is a dime at about a foot.
Now the C$ gets better depth & ID's better with a faster sweep speed. I just swing it normally no matter where I'm huntin.
I think the people who have the hardest time learning the C$ are people who own CZ70's because they expect it to operate the same, I know it was hard for me until I got about 25 hours under my belt & the C$ Wowed me a few times.
Good luck,
Mike
