C$ and a 51 id

I got a 51 hit with the C$.I dont under stand the reading on pinpoint for how deep.This hit came in and about ten feet away I had one more 51 hit.This was the first time I had any good hits above 34 since using the C$.Any ideas on this?I am going back to this site and try the 3D on it.Should I try something on these hits.I know dig em.Was running out of time and this was Nancys day to play with the ID Excel.

I wish I had saved my lengthy post on this one... I will write it all out again sometime, but in general the 51 reading is a large hot signal. If you live where there are hot rocks...like Maine.... then they will often be hot rocks. (Hematite for example) But do some tests and you will find a big chunk of silver also reads 51. I dug a nice Sterling silver "wallet" that many folks had passed over thinking it was trash. This was right in the middle of a Civil War relic site and had been hunted to death.
So for 30 years folks had thought this handsize chunk of solid silver was trash! It wasn't.
