By george theodore there is a lady in that civil war wheat field.

Went to a park that i have hunted dozens of times after listening to the bengals take a 31-17 lead at halftime and the first signal i got was my first silver coin a 1940 quarter sweet:clapping:After getting back into the truck the bengals had blown the lead and were getting beat now 49 to 31 to the buffalo bills.:rofl:Went back to a different part of this park and dug a green line token when a young man was approaching me and he was a fellow detectorist that enjoyed this hobby as much as me, he hunts with a whites, we exchanged numbers and he went back to work and i proceeded to enjoy my vacation.Took my mom to see her brother who she hasnt seen in several years the day after thanksgiving and dug my second silver of the week the rosevelt dime 1944:wiggle:It was turning out to be a pretty good week.Little did i know what to expect for the weekend.Me and joe(whites detector guy) met at an old military battery and he dug an old civil war bullet, a 1950 dime and a few wheats. He was kicking my butt with his whites detector until i turned this out of the precious soil, my favorite coin the 1944 liberty walking half dollar:yo:Ialso dug a civil war bullet later and some wheats.
I went all summer without digging any silver coins and found 3 in 1 week so there is plenty to be thankful for this thanksgiving, getting my mom and brother together after years, meeting new friends, and of course doing what i enjoy the most digging up history what a hobby!Oh yeah i did scuff the back of the 1/2 dollar with my digger but it still rocks!

Great story and Great Finds! That WLH is my favorite coin design as well. Other than the gold I think she's got St. Gaudens beat all together for looks!!!!!! Thanks for the pictures and congratulations on finding a detecting buddy there as well as some nice coins and relics.

Of all the coins that I've found over the years, the Walking Liberty Half is still my favorite design.

Congrats on the find and may many more be in your future.
