By far-My deepest (5") gold ring-and it is TINY!

Frankly most of the rings I find-gold or otherwise are not very deep. I dirt fish in the Portland Oregon area & we have some really tough soil conditions.

The park this came from I have personally declared hunted out a few times over. Luckily it is nearby & I keep giving it a try.

This week I have a silver dime, 2 older nickles 47 & 58, a WW1 button & yesterday I got my 1st skeleton key that was not a reproduction.

But today at the top of my dirt pile I saw this-from an honest 5" .

I guess they are christening rings. Frankly I don't think babies should wear jewelry-a choking hazard.
Guess I better ad-it was a CZ 6 I almost sold-with its 5" coil that got this. Many machines I have hammered this spot with. And the CZ's love for nails is a problem here. But see why I like it?. It does wee ones very well. I also found a small gold filling on a local beach with the machine. That time I was using an 8" coil.

Yeah, that's a tiny one! Ive found them that small and gold is always welcome. I know the CZ's love for deep nails too. Nice hunt - congrats!

Nice little gold ring! Yep, gold is gold and you can put it in a gold scrap collection and keep adding to it for a rainy day!! It adds up over time:thumbup:

:clapping: Is it 10k?
