I am thinking on getting the infinium,i will be using it for the beach, water(not diving) and relic hunting....what is your opinion on the infinium,i have read so many diff reviews don;t know what to really think about the infinium.....

I use mine for prospecting and relic hunting. its a very powerful machine. Take your time and get used to it. Usually the bad stuff you here about it has been from the Minelab users, but when compared to a $5000 detector of course it will fall short. Some other people just dont know how to use it at the beach as it was designed for GOLD PROSPECTING AND DIVING, not really for surf stuff as it can be less stable than a regular beach PI as it is more sensitive.
I love mine!

It's a good choice for the beach, both in the surf and wet sand areas. I would'nt use it on the dry sand as their is simply too much iron and other rubbish to contend with. It will go deep enough for relics too, you just need to make a bit of a test bed burying different items at different depths and try different swing speeds to get the optimum performance. Around a 6 second sweep is the optimum for my particular unit. cheers Nugget.

It works great for me. Gets lots of depth, and works best on beaches/water hunted hard by other VLF machines. :)

If I was going to do nothing but beach and relic hunting, and could only have one machine, it would be the Garrett Infinium LS.
