buying new detector looking at F5 . info on depth greatly appreciated

I like the F5 a lot it was deep especially if setup correctly, It was a very quite detector and accurate. It was as deep as my DFX I have for sale and at $350.00 I would buy it over the DFX anytime.
I also compared it to the Whites Prizm 4 and it was much deeper, it was much better then the F2 also. It is one one the best bargains going right now. Reid

Wow to say the F5 out performs the DFX is quite a compliment for the F5 :detecting:

I realize that with different soil types depth can change just wanted to hear from other members that had a chance to use the F5 if they were impressed with its depth before I went out and bought one. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and it out performing the DFX is very impressive thanks again JD

Not sure where JD is in Bama but up in the Huntsville area where I live the red clay can be brutal. Of the machines I have had my Minelab Musketeer is the deepest followed by Tesoros with manual GB.

How would the F5 do in tough ground like that?
