buying an ace 250

Well while my 1350s at the shop im going to purchase a new ace 250 for exactly 211 dollars. Its in my budget and itll be an easy detector to use for my newbie friends who'd like to go out. Ill use it while my 1350 in the shop, then ill have 2 when it comes back repaired. I was thinking about upgrading but its not in the budget, besides the 1350's been doing well for me. Im picking it up tomorrow at 5 oclock, any suggestions on aceesories or coils or things to look for at the sale? Im buying it from the md club guy. IVe maybe missed 2 or 3 hunts and i cant take it anymore.

Don't under estimate how effective the standard coil is. It's a cracker. If you can get accessories chucked in for free, all the better, but if not, no drama.

I second the Sniper coil! In my ground I can run the sensitivity all the way up. It will punch down 6 inches plus! Also with the sens all the way down you can find stuff next to metal supports. At only $60 dollars it's a steal.

The difference between the Ace and te 1350 is trivial in terms of use. A little more pizazz ans luxe with the 1350. But the ACE is a swingers dream. Just wait and recall I said that once you get it!

Were did you buy it for 211.00 that is a great price. Do you think they will sell it to me for that price. I can not get anyone to sell one that cheep?

$211 is the going Internet price for a new unit in US dollars, isn't it? When I was hunting up an Ace 250 last year thats about what they were going for. I recall that with a litte shopping and searching, I could often beat that, but by about 10$ or so at that.

I ended up getting a like-new used one for $165, still in the box with all the goodies. Just keep searching. It's the shipping that might hurt YOU, judging by your profile name

I didn't put mine on for 4 months. Once I used it, it stays on all the time now. I use my CXIII for the bigger coil.

Try Al Holden at www.prostockdetectors.com (Plainwell Michigan). I am pretty sure that Al will hook you up for $210.00 for the ACE 250 :)

Actually $212.46 is as low as a person can buy that machine. Garrett puts a max discount allowable per there contract with each dealer. If they sell less than that they can and will loose there dealership with Garrett. And Garrett does monitor this more than we even know!
