buying a new minelab

Nebraska Ray

Hello all, I know eberyone has heard this question probably about 100 times, but i am going to be upgradig my explorer 2 to either the SE or the E-TRAC and was wondering what one is the better detector. ive been using mneilabs for about 8 years now. thank you for any help.
Ray

Both are great detectors. Both have their pro's and con's.

I would suggest that you get a copy of Andy Sabischs book The Minelab Explorer and E-Trac Handbook. With that you can come to a very informed conclusion.

Whatever you decide you'll have a blast.

Ray,

Good to see another Nebraskan on the forum. I from central Nebraska, North of Broken Bow. I ordered the E-Trac last Dec. and haven't really had a chance to use it. I did purchase Andy's book when I got the machine and I've read it close to 3 times through. It sounds like you'll have a quicker learning curve coming off of the Explorer. I've never used an Explorer or even seen one except online, but I feel familiar with them because of Andy's book. I'm sure more posters with more experience will chime in and give you the complete story.

Take care,

NebTrac
