Looking to spend around 800-900$ on my next detector and I'm undecided. I currently have an ace 250 and I love it. Thought about the Garret GTI 2500 but I'm interested in Minelab. Info would be great. ThanX

Bing...The X-Terra-70 with the 10.5 DD 7.5KHz coil by Minelab is sure hard to beat. Very user friendly, light weight and its repetition is growing. TomB
 
and I must say while I love my Ace, the 70 is in a league of its own when it comes to ALL options and versitility. For the $$$'s the 70 is great value. As they say not one detector does it all but the 70 comes pretty damn close.

I also moved from an Ace to the XT-70 just recently. Although it will be a little harder to master than the Ace I don't regret the move one bit.
 
You will not be disappointed with the X-Terra 70. The ground balance, ground tracking and the ability to match the detector to your hunting requirements by changing the coils can not be beat. The detector is almost fully digital in its signal processing and is very accurate. It is very flexible even includes a special program and an 18.75kHz coil which can turn the machine into a very good gold machine.

Well the X-Terra 70 was my 1st detector. I really enjoy it. Very easy to use, but it allows lots of room to grow. Good luck with your choice, Beale.
