I am going to buy an Explorer XS. My only problem is should I do it now and take advantage of the Christmas package with the free 8" coil or wait until spring.
Do you think prices will be lower by then? I don't see any use fro the detector now with winter coming but then again I could get it now and just practice with it all winter.
I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!
 
Best get it now and practice. That is what I am doing and you can't beat the deals that you will be getting if you purchase it now.
 
I took advantage of the holiday special and got the extra coil and I am really happy I did. The eight inch coil is a real bonus when it comes to finding those coins and rings in between the trash.
Take advantage of the extra eight inch coil and you will be happy you did.
I have been really surprized at the things others leave behind.
 
Thanks for the feedback. I decided I will order the Explorer tomorrow and use the next few months to practice.
 
Myself, I would probably wait if your not going to use it till March.. remember if you get it now you burn 3 or 4 months of waranty sitting in the house, not that it matters much but if something does happen that you want to get looked at a couple years from now its better to go in for a check up during the winter.. Last year the Christmas special went long past Christmas.. Maybe wait till mid or end of January to get it, that still gives you a month or 2 to play with it before the hunting season
 
I had the same dilema, but I decided to buy and I am glad I did. Found some nice silver already and I am headed back out tomorrow and get as many days in before the ground freezes solid! I will have to dress warm as the high is supposed to be around 40 with wind gusts to 40mph!
 
I feel you made the right decision on ordering it now as you get the 8 inch coil free which is worth a good $100, plus you will have time to check it out and ask questions before spring and should be ready to go.
