Hit a few new holes today and despite the swarms of black flies, managed to pull a few goodies out. The cellars that I have been hunting lately are from the mid to late 1700's, so there is nothing in the coin department, I guess these settlers had very litle money to lose and instead they bartered for what they needed, at least that's my theory. The things I do find are no deeper than 8", so if there was a coin dropped, I would find it. It's still fun to be where people lived and worked 250 years ago. The settings of some of these foundations are awesome, usually on a little hill with pines all around and not a neighbor in sight. The King granted these people 400 acres, so they had their choice of spots. Have fun out there, Ron

I did a little cleaning on them, that's not the way they came out of the hole. When I have time, I try to get more detail with some wet/dry paper. That's the way they used to look but I wouldn't try that on anything valuable, so it's kind of a gamble. Ron
