Hey everyone- This is my first post as I finally found something different than random loose change. It is 1.5 inches in diameter. It was found in the Tidewater region of Virginia approximately 7 inches down. The obverse has a milled edge. The milling does not appear to carry over to the reverse. I didn't try to clean the reverse in fear of damaging/ ruining the surface. Any ideas or leads on what this might be would be appreciated. THANKS-
 
likely a old navy service button, I find them here in my city also, anywhere there were service people stationed.
