found this button (no back) in a place in Ky. where John Hunt Morgan passed thru on his raids. used my xlt at 4 inches. can anyone tell me anything about it? thanks

Hi Sonny, I am not that knowledgable on various buttons, but if I'm correct it is a General Service U.S. Army Button. To my knowledge, those buttons came about during the Civil War, and are still in use today. I hope my information is accurate, but I'm sure someone will set me straight, if I'm inaccurate. NICE FIND ANYWAY! HH, Les
