Button ID

Went to Knoxville last weekend and hunted a park - found some clad and right at the end I got a sweet solid hit and out comes this button from about 4-5" deep. Looks like a steel backing while the front appears to be brass. Any ideas on age or use? Thanks guys!

That motif is a Scotish thistle. Probably just a decorative button but it could have belonged to somebody either from Scotland or of Scottish origins.

Try googling it.
