I recently found this button on an old house lot using my 705. It appears to be silver plated as virtually no cleaning was required. The back mark reads "L&R Metal Prod. Corp. Bronx NY". I appreciate anyone who can give me an identity and date range.

Dan,
I found your button and it is a United States Air Force button..Dates approximately around 1947 or later.
Nice find,
Felix

Thanks Felix. A friend from our local treasure club called me with a reference from the Albert uniform button book and the results were the same as yours. It is, indeed, sterling silver plated.
