My buddy found this button at my CS site today. It's a 1pc. convex type button with a braised on shank. It has some gilt still on it. The backmark reads Benedict and Burnham EXTRA. I know this was a Waterbury company from 1834 to 1843. Can anyone tell me if it's just a civilian type button? <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug">
