A buddy of mine dug this button along with Spanish silver while detecting a field in Northern Ohio using his EX II. Any ideas on what it is or age?

Yup, sweet button!

I don't know the specific button either but the eagle looks like late 18th-century or early 19th-century and I presume the anchor has something to do with navy.

I have no references infront of me but I think it might be war of 1812 period navy button. I dug one just like it about 5 years ago in Ct.
