Button ID help please

Buttons are not my thing at all. I never find them, almost ever... unless they're glass surface buttons. Today I found something that might be relatively old but not knowing anything about them I have no idea. Any help on history of this thing would be great appreciated. There is no makers mark on the back. I have cleaned it up a little since I found it if it would help to post pictures of it a it it's now.

Thanks

Nice looking button, looks to be a 2 pc button likely from early 1900's and pre-WWII. Possibly an Italian Navy button which I found a bit of info online.......

button is from the Regia Marina, the
Royal Italian Navy
(from the time that Italy had a
King, up till 1945). The wreath MAY indicate that it
is a flag officer's button, but I am not certain about
that. (That is the practice in the British RN.)

Most excellent. Thank you so much for the help! I don't even know what to search for when it comes to buttons.

Nice find. We will have to hit that site harder when the rains come.

I love the trash there. Just my kind of detecting... The trashier the better. But yeah you're right, that is some tough dirt to dig in.
