Button ID help needed

I found this button at a site that must have been a campsite during the civil war as there were many bullets, melted lead, horseshoes, and 2 other button found that were military buttons.
I can't make out the backmark although there seems to be some writing on the back. Also has some gilt left on it.
Any ideas??
