Can anyone help me identify this button I found today. I appreciate your help, Tony

That button's from Hampton Normal Institute, which is now Hampton University. Probably from the tunr-of-the-century, give or take a few years. I found one just like it in Surry County last year. I was told that the school sent out advisors under some kind of cooperative extensive program to help farmers. These buttons were worn on their uniforms. Did you find it in a field? Hope this helps.

Yes it was found in a field. I also found early some early 1900's barber coins, and Indian head pennies. Thanks for your help, HH, Tony

Those Indians I found are pretty eaten up by the fertilizer but I'll keep em.....
