Out Field hunting the past 2 days , favorite find is a 2 piece brass high domed
button , marked on back A.P.Davis patent applied for Pittsburgh PA . Not sure on age
any idea . I have found a color pic of the front . Thanks in advance and for looking.

hi echostar. that looks to be a nice postwar maryland seal button you've found. looking in my backmark book, a.p. davis of pittsburg, pa. was listed as fire insurance in the 1880's and 1890's. the firm ordered large quantities of sons of veterans buttons from scoville button co. in nov. 1888. that's all it says about the firm. carolina phil and rileydogg hit it on the head too. great find, and congrats! hh!
 
Thank for the info. guys . Only AP Davis I could find in Piit. PA was Agustus
Plummer Davis . The oldest coin found was a 1901 IH , but will hit this field
again after harvest for sure . Other relics found there shown below ....Terri
