So I went out to that park that I found a Civil War (I think) officers button and found, well a lot more buttons. Not anything as good as the officers button. One has a musical instrument on it that is a harp I believe. It is in the older style "bubble" like the civil war one. No other identifiable marks on it. Does anyone have an idea what it is, what type of person may have worn it? I also found a whatsit. It's really odd, it is very heavy for its size. It also looks like it has some sort of molton lead on it. I was thinking perhaps it's the broken off end of a ceramic pot that they would use to melt down lead to make ammo. I did find on Friday a blob of melted lead. Who knows. If anyone knows what it is, or has an idea let me know. Pics below!

[attachment 94758 061408Huntpics4.jpg]Back side of the buttons, most of the imprint front and back I can't make out.
[attachment 94759 061408Huntpics5.jpg]Here are some pics of the whatsit. I'm going to go over it with the X-1 to see if it is made out of different materials. I'll let you know.
