These rainy days have got to stop. I'm about to run short on display material. Got to go hunt to replenish. Thanks for checking these out.
 
Two questions for ya... Can you post a closeup of the NY button in the center of the display? And are you sure that it is period? I found one just like it last year, and I was led to believe it was post war.

I don't have a button book, and I hate to take it out of the display since it is a shadow box. I found it here in central Arkansas with a lot of other period stuff. I can't remember whether is is State seal, or N.Y melitia.
 
I have a few questionable buttons in my collection, and that happens to be one of them <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> I am including a link that shows mine, and it did come out of a period site <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
