Dug this guy up today.Found it in the outfield of a baseball Field in Raleigh N.C. I did a button search on the net but couldn't find one quite like this one .Any information would be appreciated.Thanks for looking.
 
I have found a couple of buttons like the one you have and I believe they are blazer jacket buttons.
These are not military style buttons as far as I can tell,but I may be wrong.
The first one I found got me excited when I saw the eagle on it with the anchor, but through some research I
came to the conclusion that it not military related and post civil war era.
Hopefully if I am wrong, someone will correct me.
