bust coin replica button???

Deep Down

New member
Found this in an Iowa corn field where there was a school from the 1840's to 1880's. also got 3 large cents (1800, 1831, 1851) using the Minelab E-trac. Very difficult to find any info on this button. It is copper or brass, no date, no markings on the reverse. Any info would be very helpful. Thank you

I have found those before, your bust is flat and is probably hammered on the back, and had the ring melted on, I usually find those curved in a cup shape, with padding and a ring with a nail through the front.
