For those who are interested there follows an official Press Release by the Rural Fire Service.
As of Friday evening 18th October 2013 at 5.30pm the initial assessment of properties has been completed in the Springwood and Winmalee areas today.
At this stage, 81 properties have been destroyed, with 37 damaged.
Approximately 30 percent of the fireground has been assessed. The number of properties destroyed or damaged will rise.
Tomorrow is a Total Fire Ban day and fears are held as the weather will again be hot and windy.
