Burned Up 1916 Mercury Dime Found (1916d ?)

Burned Up 1916 Mercury Dime Found

I went to a corner lot where a fire had gutted a house earlier in the year. When the house was there I found a 1953 Rosie dime. Today I found a burnt and slightly melted 1916 Mercury dime. I can

Pretty interesting finds bud. You didn't find any melted silverware did you. I found a clump of that years ago at a burn out. To bad the dime got buggered up. It might have been the one. Your luck runs like mine. :)

The money was probably in the house during the fire. Wonder if it was from a collection or just lost in the floor boards. Maybe there is more. When my grandfather's house caught fire, he found all his old silver dollars. They were melted in one big pile.
