bummer weekend.....

This has got to be the worst opening day ever.. I don't' mind the cold, but a driving rain is more than I or the deer can stand. Saw just one deer, and we almost run into each other in some brush.

Well. still plenty of time. Will go to my farm tomorrow.. always deer over there. I got one tied to a tree just for an emergency.

you must be spoiled Because if you lived out here you would consider Rain a god send for hunting---When I could walk in the woods the harder it rained the better I liked it---We see a lot more deer here when it rains because the brush is waist high in a lot of places, I have hunted in Ferns that were Neck high---When it rains you can move almost as quietly as the deer do---This year we had good weather all through the season and that included Elk---regular Deer and extended Buck season---Now if I was hunting over in Eastern Wa. where there is hardly any brush Sun was fine and I liked it But not on the West Side !

And we cannot hunt Bow then Gun or Muzzle---We have to decide our type of hunt Before season starts---I usually get Modern then hunt with my 454 C. loaded with either 300-330 or 360 grain slugs, I use it for Elk also but I have only got (1) shot at a Elk, I have got (6) Deer
