Bullseye Pinpointer/Problem?

I changed the battery yesterday and now my pinpointer seems to be acting funny. When it detects a piece of metal,it gives a long steady(about 2 seconds long)beep and if I don't move it form the spot it will continue to give long beeps. It will still give a short beep if I get closer to the metal object and wave it back and forth. This made it much more difficult to pinpoint with. Has this happened to anyone else and what can I do to remedy this ? Thanks

i dont know but i want to get a pinpointer do they work good

Rich,
My 2 cents worth is to do the following:
1. Make sure the battery is well connected.
2. Make sure you have a good battery, try another one.
3. If it was not having problems before, I think the battery tinkering will fix it.
4. If not, then there is a fine tuning adjustment inside that might help.
Let us know what you find out.

The Automax is larger and hard to keep in my pocket when I'm wearing a coat. But, I prefer the Automax to the Bullseye for pinpointing. In my turf I seem to get more depth with the Automax. Hope this helps. FRED
