Bullseye II

I purchased a Bullseye ll pin pointer today. Am I going to be sorry or are they worth the money?

I have 2 friends with those and they've been nothing but problems for them. The push button is notorious for breaking. In my opinion you would have been better off buying something like my Vibraprobe thats waterproof and doesnt have any buttons or switches on it

It's a good starter pinpointer. Good luck with it and what's the old saying......"You get what you pay for". Hopefully you won't have the trouble with it like others had. I love my DX-1 pinpointer that attaches to my machine. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

No problems with mine. I believe that they have resolved the switch problem that was common in older units. If it breaks while under warranty, just send it to Whites and they'll send you a new one.

I saw the DX-1. I'm thinking about bringing the bullseye ll back and getting the DX-1. My MXT is powered with batteries, will that be a problem for me using the DX-1?

The Sun Ray probe works like a 1 inch small coil and it is the MXT that uses the battery to work as the probe is just another coil that uses a toggle switch to switch between you main coil and the Probe. It is by far the best accessory you can buy for your MXT.

I made the trade today, brought back the Bulleye and got the Sun Ray DX-1. Tomorrow I'll give it a try for the first time. Thanks for all the info and feedback.

You won't have any regrets getting the DX-1. After you use it a while, you wonder why you didn't get it sooner. I love mine. Just one reminder: Remember to turn the toggle switch back to coil AFTER you retrieve your target. Happy hunting and I'm sure you won't be disappointed one bit with the pinpointer.

I just ordered a DX-1 for my MXT today as well. I'm excited to try it out once it arrives. I too have been using the Bullseye II but wanted something more. The Bullseye has worked fine for me and I haven't had any problems with it to date, other than the occasional falsing.
