Bullseye 5.3" coil

I use it on my 5900 and its awesome..... very good depth and excellent target separation .... its the only coil I use when hunting parks.... pinpoint is very accurate as well.... it spends more time on my unit than the 9.5 ...

You're correct about there not being much in the way of field tests but thousands of satisfied customers says something about the coil. In both the Black Max and Eclipse versions, it's a great coil for trashier areas and gets depth very close to the 950 coils.

Click on my handle and do a search on all my posts. I have used and talked about my 5.3 and MXT combo for a long time. It is an amazing coil.

It is a nice little coil for working in the trash, I haven't heard anything negative about it.

Its a great coul but I love the 4X6 DD for shooting parks. The say the 5.3 has better depth but I am consistantly digging coins with my M^ and the 4x6 at 6 and 7 inches!!!

What do you think about this coil ! I tried to look up reviews & field tests . Not much info on the coil out there!
I see that your Findmall Posts are only at 53 so I wonder just how much reading you've done on different Findmall White's and White's MXT Forums because, I can guarantee you, the 6

I'm with dirtmaster. I've had both the 5.3 and the 4x6 and dramatically prefer the 4x6. 95% of my best finds with the M6 have been with the 4x6.

The XL-PRO and the 5.3 coil is a depth monster! In SAT MODE I can hit a quarter at almost 12'' with the signal balance maxed out! That is awesome for a coil of that size!

I have both the 5.3 and the SEF8x6 coil and much prefer the SEF as not only is it a DD which means you dont have too be so critical with your swings overlapping wise, also depth is very good and covers slightly more ground with each swing.

Only possible advantage that the 5.3 could have is when using it in between stubble when the crops have just come off, because the coil is round it wont catch on the stubble as much as the SEF.

I find that the SEF stays on the detector most of the time,my favourite for years was the 10x6 coil, still carry it with me but does get used much these days.

while I know why the "5.3" handle came about, it has sure confused a lot of consumers for a long, long time because they think it's is just a bit over 5" in diameter, and, to many of them, that's just too small.

Do tell! Why exactly did they call a 6-1/2" coil the 5.3 Bullseye/Eclipse?

not the diameter of the physical search coil housing, but of the larger outside Transmit winding. I the 6

All this talk about it has me intrigued. Maybe I didn't give the 5.3 a fair shot (I was big on using only DD coils at the time.) So I'm now in the market for another 5.3. Maybe I will learn to love it.
