bullseye 2 pinpointer question

I know the switch is the thing most users have been having trouble with but on the other hand have any of you fallen in love with this unit??

I've got the 140, it is just longer than the Bullseye II. I've replaced the switch and have had the pinpointer for two years. It works well now but I don't think it works any better than the rest. I wouldn't hunt without a pinpointer any more. I don't know if they ever did anything about the switches. Oh, you never will have to worry about Whites service, they are super Rob

I've had my for 3 years and the only thing that has happen is the positive wire for the battery has broken off the connector. Other then that it's works as good as the day I picked it up.

I've been using my Bullseye ll for about 6-8 months and can't imagine detecting without one. No problems with the switch as of yet, but I wouldn't necessarily say this pinpointer is a great piece of equipment either. Mine falses constantly - mostly every time you bump the end of the probe on the dirt. You can tell the false signal from a real one most of the time - but it is still irritating.

I just ordered and received my Sunray Invader DX-1 probe for my MXT. I haven't used it yet - but I'm hoping the experience will be an improvement (especially since it wasn't cheap).

Whites changed the switch in January of this year. Rob

You should be pleased with the Sunray probe. I have one on my MXT and I love it. Can't imagine hunting without it now that I've been using it.

Bunchgrasser --- I was having false signals with mine and it seems that the battery becomes loose after awhile, so I just put a dime on the bottom of the battery and slide the battery cover closed and mine works fine now... If you shake the pinpointer and can hear the battery moving (making noisy) --- then it may be your problem as well...

I have really liked the Bullseye pinpointer...all 4 of them that I've gone thru....on number 5 now....a new push button design can't be that much...the guy the does our electron curcuit board building where I work say's there isn't more the $8 or $9 dollars worth of electronics in the whole unit....Steve in Tenn.
