'Bullion' Cars and a 'Cookie Lee' Pendant From The Beach!

Goldstrike

Well-known member
I've never detected a 'bullion' coin off the beach before until this one came along! Initially, it had me puzzled as to what it was??? It was heavily discolored and for a second, because of the weight thought maybe silver?...... but after seeing the 1 Ounce .999 Fine copper stamping, I gave it a dip in vinegar and baking soda and it came up nice and shiny! Copper is nice...BUT...I'll be out there again looking for the gold one next time!
Not pictured is the loads of clad and other items that were interesting but junk and I generally don't bother to show. I like to get rid of those pull tabs, fishing hooks, rusty nails, lead weights and other junk items in the nearest trash can asap!

MAN! Had that coin that big been a gold one! Great strange find! Amazing what lies out there!:clapping:
