Bullets

Hello, these are some of the bullets I've found detecting around the site of an old rifle range. I believe these are Martini Henry bullets, dated about the 1890's. They're usually not very deep, about 4 to 5 inches or so.

The brass pieces are called the case(s). I do believe you are correct on ID. Australia has some outstanding relics, espeically some early British. I've seen some nice British belt plates, buttons and Enfield type bullets found there. Good hunting, David @ Dixie

Nice finds, Angela.

I've found quite a few casings, .22 & .32 and two live .32's, but nothing I would call a relic bullet or casing.

Still lookin', though:look:

The Martini was first used by the British in the mid 1870s..then it was issued to Colonial Forces.
