bullets in wood

GRAY GHOST

New member
hello all, shown are 4 bullets in wood. 2 or 3 of them are modern, but the one on the bottom i believe is a shot .36 cal. teardrop. they sure are fun to find. i have several others, but the bullets are not visible at all, one being very heavy. thanks, and enjoy. hh,

Hey gg the bullet at the bottom looks like a nice find. Way to go. Don't guess you got out today, all this rain. We're had 2 3/4 inches so far here in disputanta.

Always try to keep about 12" of wood when ever possible. This enhances collector interest and value. For hidden bullets, ask any X-Ray Tech's, Nurses or medical friends if they can X-ray several for you. This will tell you a lot without taking any of the wood away. Nice finds, David@Dixie

hi david, all the bullets in wood iv'e found are less than 6" long. i wish i could find one a foot long! good advice though, and thanks. hh,

Looks good GG. I found a .58 cal. one time in the forks of a small downed tree. I almost got a hernia dragging it to the truck because I normally don't carry a chain saw with me in my detector pack. Happy Huntin'.......
