Bullet ID

Sorry I dont have a picture to post but the bullet is a little bigger than a #2 pencil seven sided with a point. It is about 1/2 inch long. Just wondered if it is civil war? If I can figure out how to post a picture I will do so tonight.
Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark; there could be as many as 2,000 different bullets used during the CW. You'll need precise info to ID your find: Length (measured in 10ths), diameter (caliber), weight (in grains), cavity style, rings/grooves or smooth sides? If you can post a pic we can narrow it down fast. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
