bullet ID please

Hi......this was dug at a union camp and I can't quite match it up with any of the bullets in the book. Any help would be appreciated. It has 2 rings and a solid base. Thanks.
 
Nice find. It might be a .56 bullet from a Colt Revolving Rifle. The only other bullet that I know of with two rings is a .69 Gardner, but only the Confederates used them, but a Union soldier might have taken it as a trophy. If you could tell me where the camp was, I might be able to pinpoint it further?:csflag:
 
Thanks for the reply. I found it in Frederick MD near St. Johns Prospect Hall. I know it's a union camp from the buttons and breast plate found there.
 
Yeah, it look like a Gardner to me too. I went home yesterday and checked my references and your picture fits it to a tee.
