The bullet weights 1.1 ounce (30 grams) The button is metal and is heavy for its size. They were found near each other.
Any info will be appreciated.

I am by no means an expert on Civil war bullets, however I found two that look like the one in the picture. I took them to my local relic club and was told that they were 58 cal. Minnie balls.
 
The star in the base is considered to be a Washington Arsenal made .58 cal bullet for muzzle loaded rifles and muskets. The button is a pants suspender/fly button or shirt button typical of Civil war period. Nice finds and HH!
