Building the perfect set of Beach Headphones

Well-known member
After going thur just about every size, brand of piezo made, along with mounting to different materials, different designs And fit at different pressures. I learned that only the best audio can be had thur speakers, these still need more research but here is the first underwater results.....about 15 to 20 minutes in and under with no problems at all, I really think they would work for diving 30 to 40 feet .................. Once complete I'll reveal the secret to Skullies Speakers..(NOT Piezo elements like all UW detectors use)..I would say these are perfect for any Beach detector (In and Out off the water) that uses audio tones for ear/mind discrimination since they use some of the best speakers made for land detecting..Audiosears 2463 ...used by the many of the Bigger names in Headphones..
Appreciate all the info and help from members here on this project....And special thanks to Otlewis for the endcaps...And Blisstool Barry for the CTX M-12 Connectors
And they will need a drain hole if built for diving.....

I'm game for some when they go into production OBN - pm the cost so I can start saving toward some!

:super:

No production, just a few each winter..will make a video on how to do your own, for the excalibur only. Finding each model detector needs special matching for optimum performance ................Results so far

Wondering what you thought about the tones from each, have any preference?

I really liked the speakers I salvaged from the Sony MDR-V200 headphones I picked up from a garage sale for $2 back in 2008.

Sven, I did a compare of all on the tones...along with the SPL output,.............. the top three are Audiosears (BW, SRG, JR), allElectronics (Yours), and the Kobitones (ratphones), what I looking for is Hi (SPL) db's along with best audio..just for the excalibur, will be doing the compare again but on video and will post and see what everyone elses opinion is....all of the three are very close so I have to make sure it is very equal/controlled. I also want to include in the compare/test the original stock Koss yellows, since they are the strander all go by.......hope to have it done by sunday..will post..and thanks for asking

For the price, that little 40mm from Allelectronics really is a deal
