Buffalo and Indian

in the woods

New member
Got out for a couple of peaceful hours. Not much but a couple of keepers.
No date buffalo and a 1865 IH. The fronts are lousy.
Hope to have some good luck tomorrow at a natural hunt at an old farm in our area. Not to many (12) signed up. It's free and the old place has never been hunted, surprised at the low sign up.

Sure a downer compared to yesterday huh, TPM? I'd be thrilled with anything '65 or older. Congratulations on the finds man! Its just a thrill getting old coinage out of the ground!

well, yesterday was certainly extrodinary. It didn't sink in right away. But, I'm sure I speak for most, that just getting out and swingin' away is really nice. A bad day of huntin' is still better than a good day at work. Well, in this economy maybe that's a bit of a stretch.

The years have not been kind to all the IHs and buffaloes I have found. Still a kick to dig them. Good luck tomorrow. Looking forward to your next post.

I've tried to hook up with other "hunters" but it's kind of tough in central PA. I found a 1907 Barber dime about 2 weeks ago in a friend's yard. I turned around and put it in her birthday card last week. Was she ever happy!!

Nice coins !

Nice finds! Maybe the silver will come on the next hunt. :detecting:
