Buckles, Buttons, and more

Visited a couple of old farms yesterday. The first one is a beautiful 1765 farm house that proved to be amazingly quite, but I had only talked to the owner about detecting certain parts of the large yard so I will have to go back get permission and try some different areas next time. I did find a Benjamin Harrison collectible token that I still have to research and a horseshoe.

I spent about three hours at the other 1700's farm. The fields are getting really high now but I was still able to swing through. I found a very little navy button, a skeleton key, a round copper disk that at one time was probably a large cent but now you can't make out a bit of detail, and the buckles. Unfortunately they are not as old as I would have liked them to be. In addition I found one rosette, and a neat door keyhole

And just for CTTodd I found a 1950 silver quarter which is included among the older items:tongue: hehehe....

Nice ha ha ha, I really like the button and the crusty is still a lot of fun to dig. Nice Gary

Glad to see you're hitting the old farms and pulling some good stuff. Keep it up.
