In a a small town like CDA, Idaho, it gets a little frustrating finding new spots to produce good finds. It seems like we go to the same old hunted out spots and once in a while we find something everybody missed. My best success I have is going where no man has gone before. So this time I'm like an elk hunter crawling through the brush, because it's at it's best stage of cover, being spring. And you can see through it easiest. Poking my detector into spots. It's really hard, but the brush wasn't always that thick. A hundred years ago, it may have been a path people used. Of course no one else looks there. So there's all kinds of goodies in there. Trash pits, coin spills, you name it. So this short dig started with the 1900 Indian head penny, then the cool tobacco can, and then the arcade token, and finished with a few wheats. All good finds in my book. Hope this gives you some ideas..go get you some!
