Got below zero last night! Coldest of the year so far! Wind chills as low as -20!! Where did that nice warm weather go?

Got home from work and decided an hour later to go and test out the ExpII since I just had the X-1 switch fixed (and the Platypus replaced). It was somewhere around 60 yesterday and probably in the 40's and sunny when I got home today. It was colder when I left the house to go hunt but not bad. I had my fingerless gloves on and 15 minutes into the hunt I couldn't feel the tips of my fingers (guess it was colder than I thought :) ). Went to another spot and this time I put on my gloves. I didn't last 40 minutes. I'm telling you, the wind really picked up and it felt like the temp dropped 20 degrees in an hour! It's suppose to go down to the teens tonight with windchills in the single digits...

How long til Spring??? My machine is up and running real well, I finally feel like I know what I'm doing with this thing and I can't wait to put in a couple of hours someplace! I'll probably go to the beach on Monday no matter what since the ground will be frozen. The way I dress there, I'm nice and toasty except for my hands. But Vicky got me another pair of gloves that look like they'll do the trick. They're actually ski gloves that are breathable, windproof and waterproof but very lightweight and flexible. If they can keep my hands warm in the cold and high winds at the beach, I'll be set!

Stay warm!

I use neoprene gloves for cold water hunting!
