Well I got it. And the 5'' coil. If it don't rain tomorrow, I'll give it a workout.
I did stop at an old site on the way home, just before dark and tried it with the stock coil. Disc. set at zero I could hear lots of iron signals, but not overbearing. I do like to hear everything in the ground. The only book that came with, it was the operating manual. Not a lot of info, tricks or tips in it. If you have some, please share.

Thanks, Cliff.

You might Google Mikes CZ page for a wealth of info and Tom D. also has an excellent article on the unit and its workings.

A perfect ground balance will give you superior depth and a stable unit so practice the bobbing method in your back yard until you get the hang of it.
Make sure your volume and sens. are at 10 so you can hear the audio differences clearly and after balancing they can be moved down accordingly...

There is pros and cons on where you should set the disc. so might try it out with the disc. maxed as the multiple sounds may confuse you...You will still get the high coins and silver and won't be distracted until you get the hang of it. Got some of my deepest silver this way but again depends what you are looking for and how quiet or busy a unit you want.
