Brookfield Wa dig

Went to the area where Brookfield Wa used to be. It was a trading post on the Columbia river in Washington state. All the people left in the late teens and early 20's, and all that is left now is a beach where the army corps of engineers pumped dredge spoils and the woods. Anyway, we ventured up through the woods until we found some flat areas and scored a few nice finds! A small piece of china popped out of one of the holes and it had an interesting mark on it so i kept it... i think the one piece is pressed tin, maybe from a ceiling? its pretty ornamental though... a couple other odds and ends, and what may or may not be a ships wheel?

Kool finds! Sure looks like a ships wheel, but more likely for a smaller boat/skiff in lieu of a ship. The top left item would have been driven into a log, most likely floating, to fasten a line/rope through the round eye so it could be secured for what ever purpose. HH

Pinpoint, Where do you live along the Columbia? Im in Kelso... Brookfield was right on the water about half way between Skamokawa and Altoona...
