Bronze or brass Baseball catcher

Maybe a part to a bank where the catcher catches the coin and it drops between his legs into the bank. I aint got a clue other than that guess but it is a neat find...d2
 
Thank you d2. That was one of my thoughts also. There are four holes through base as if it were mounted on something. However there didn't seem to be any wear in area where coin would hit then slide down. This area was also a little rough. My other thought was maybe a decorative fence post top. What ever it was kids probably played with and lost out back.
