Broke the streak

Been striking out lately with the Excal at the beach, so I took the old xs out for 2 hours today where there used to be an old school. Wasn't getting anything but junk signals, then hit a high tone. Scraped a little pine straw out of the way, & there she was, a '44 Merc! First one of those I've ever found. Laying on top the ground.

What scuba was saying, is, now that you found one Merc, it will be easier for you from here on out. He was actually being encouraging...saying that once you hear the sound of silver, you'd remember it -- and thus finding the next one will be easier...

I hope you find many, many more! Once you hear the sound of silver, LOL you get to know it. Just like gold rings. And uphill means I hope you keep finding them. Sorry if you took my response wrong.

No problem. I've found lots of silver & a little gold over the years, but that's when I lived in a different part of this state that had a lot of old areas. Here everything is newer, & any older areas have been concreted over.
